If I were going to buy a new vehicle and I wanted grip + quality, I would get a WRX STi. It has the same AWD but with more power, much better looks, and good moddability. Also, Scoobarus have proven to be reliable as far as I know (someone correct me if I'm wrong here... speaking partially out of my butthole), but I know for a fact that Mitsu's have issues. Trannies blow up, etc. Or you could get a Z. Your choice my friend - but consider the following: Warranty - do you need one?
Back seat - these are nice to have.
Looks - The Z looks better - but even that is subjective.
Money - pay now for a new car, or pay later for used car repairs... either way, you're going to pay Special Note: Do you really need a new car? Would your money be better spent on eliminating debt? Only you can answer these questions. Good luck, and God Bless you sir.
